Cookie Policy

Last updated: 27 August 2025

This Cookie Policy explains how Orq AI B.V. ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on getorqai.com. It supplements our Privacy Policy. Contact us at [email protected] with questions.

1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognise your device on return visits, remember preferences, and measure how the site is used. We also use closely related technologies such as local storage to record your cookie consent choice.

2. Prior Consent Requirement

We do not set any non-essential cookies - including analytics cookies - until you give your prior consent through the cookie banner that appears on your first visit. This is required by the ePrivacy Directive as implemented in the Dutch Telecommunicatiewet, and by the GDPR.

Strictly necessary cookies are the only cookies that run without your consent. They are the minimum required for the Service to function: for example, the session identifier that keeps you logged in and the token that records your cookie consent decision.

You can change your consent at any time by clicking "Cookie preferences" in the page footer, which reopens the banner. You may also contact us at [email protected] to request that we reset your consent record.

3. Categories of Cookies We Use

Category Examples Lifetime Legal basis
Strictly necessary Session identifier, CSRF token, cookie-consent record (local storage) Session to 12 months Legitimate interest / contract performance
Preferences Theme or language preference if set Up to 12 months Consent
Analytics Anonymised usage data on dashboard and marketing pages Up to 13 months Consent
Marketing Not currently used - Consent (if introduced)

The Orq AI platform itself (the tracing dashboard you access after logging in) does not set advertising or third-party marketing cookies.

4. Third-Party Cookies

Some analytics cookies may be set by third-party processors acting on our behalf. We have Article 28 GDPR data-processing agreements with those processors. Their cookies are only enabled after you accept the analytics category through our banner. We do not use embedded social-media widgets or advertising networks that would set third-party cookies outside our control.

5. Managing Your Preferences

  • Use our cookie banner - click "Cookie preferences" in the footer at any time to reopen it and change your choice.
  • Browser settings - most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Instructions are available at aboutcookies.org. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent login and other core functions from working.
  • Browser-transmitted opt-out signals - we honour the Global Privacy Control signal for analytics and marketing cookie categories. Where your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a rejection of non-essential cookies, even if you have not interacted with our banner.

6. Changes to This Policy

If we add or change the cookies we use in a material way, we will update this page with a new "Last updated" date and, where required, request renewed consent through the cookie banner.
